What’s a party without music? Not much of a party. Even stuffy, boring, high society parties have a string quartet or pianist. What’s a scary movie without music? Not terribly scary. Iconic killers like Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees would be nothing without the iconic music that surrounds and follows them.

 

From “The Monster Mash” to “Black Serenade” to the house hit “Hail Satan,” horror influences music as much as music influences horror. You know when not to go in the water or open that door. But live a little! And indulge in some montage music for a famous “final girl.” Lloyd Kaufman and Tim Curry might even start a sing-along with Beth Greene and Audrey II!
